In this article, we’ll SHARE how to store your shampoo bar so that it lasts as long as possible!

One of the most common questions we get is:

How long does a shampoo bar last?

And while there is no black-and-white answer (we all have different lengths of hair!) the key to this is treating it well.

Because, if you treat it well, it can last for over 90 washes!

(Or if you’re like me and try to stretch it out as long as possible... it can last almost 6 months!)

Let’s take a look at how the shampoo bar compares against the shampoo bottle…

  • The average shampoo bottle is around 16oz

  • This gives us approximately 38 washes (if we use the standard tablespoon amount)

That means the average shampoo bar can last twice as long as the average shampoo bottle!

And if you wash your hair every day... 90 washes = 3 months!

That’s much longer than the typical shampoo bottle!

So how do we do this? How do we ensure our bars last as long as possible?

The answer is simple, it all comes down to the perfect storage.

Keeping your shampoo bar out of water is crucial… Regular containers just won’t cut it!
