We’ve had so many people asking about how to use the vegan dishwashing block, so here goes!

As you’re probably aware, plastic-packaged detergents can be horrible for the environment. Not only do they come packed in plastic but they’re often filled to-the-brim with harsh chemicals.

But should you really switch to an eco-friendly and natural detergent?

At first glance, a natural detergent can catch you off guard… I mean... does it really work? Why is it a block? Ok so if it works, and it is indeed a block - how the heck do I use it?

All valid questions, I’m going to give you the facts.

First, the No Tox Life natural detergent works because of:

  • Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (all natural, derived from coconuts) effectively lifts and removes dirt
  • Glycerin (plant derived) is hygroscopic and a gentle stain remover
  • Decyl Glucoside (plant derived) is cleansing and creates a full foamy lather, which is mild on the skin

For the reasons mentioned above, it’s a versatile block of goodness and it can also be used as a carpet cleaner, stain remover and surface cleaner!

So now, how do you use it?

Because this product is a solid block of detergent (instead of a liquid), it works a little different.

So here’s a little video that shows you exactly how you can get the best results when using your dishwashing block. P.S they last for ages!

Many people will fill a sink with warm soap water and wash their dishes with that.

This dish block is palm-oil free and contains all natural ingredients. It's a mild detergent so you will not get the best results washing your dishes this way.

We recommend to simply:

  • Get sponge or dish brush
  • Lightly wet
  • Rub sponge/ dish brush on your dish block
  • Rub sponge/ dish brush on dishes to create lather
  • Rinse dishes!

Alternatively, you can also grate a small amount into a container, add a small amount of water (keep the concentration high) and mix it up to create soapy water!

You can then dip your brush/sponge in when needed.

Remember, a little goes a really long way, and one dish block can last you up to 6 months!
