12 Weird & wonderful uses for your old toothbrush

If you’ve made the switch to a bamboo toothbrush, hurrah! 

You’re fighting the good fight and are one of the super cool, noble, charming, and humble people not contributing to the billions of toothbrushes that end up in landfills or the ocean 😎

But you might have a few old toothbrushes lying around... And we don’t want to send these to landfill or the ocean.

So what do you do with your old toothbrushes?

1. Kitchen Appliances: You can get into all those small nooks and crannies of toasters, microwaves, coffee machines, etc - there are plenty of these in the kitchen!

2. Taps & Sinks: Gets into all those tricky spots around those awkwardly shaped bathroom appliances

3. Removes Marks on Walls: Got any pen, crayon, or other random marks? Just use a tab of shaving cream and scrub to remove!

4. Carpet stains: All you need is a bit of your fave cleaner and an old toothbrush, and scrub away to get the stain out!

5. Clothes stains: Just like with the carpet stains, apply some stain remover to the toothbrush head - and scrub away!

6. Bathroom or Kitchen Tiles: Mix baking soda with water and clean out the grout grime off tiles

7. Jewellery: Bracelets, rings, and necklaces all have nooks and crannies which make it difficult to clean. Not with a toothbrush though! 

8. Hair dryer vent: Remove any hair that could be clogging up your vent with your old toothbrush (and it's also a safer way to use your hair dryer too!)

9. Computer keyboard: No-one wants a dirty computer or laptop in the office! Just use your old toothbrush to clean around all the keys.  Bamboo cotton swabs also work well for this!

10. Bike Chains: Saves you having to buy expensive polish- all you need is a toothbrush!

11. Guitars: An old toothbrush can clean your frets, perfectly!

12. Soles of your shoes: Scrub the base of your shoe to bring back the grip!
