Your shampoo and conditioner bars will last between 75-90 washes.
(Or 3x longer than bottled shampoo)
But if you look after them right, they can last even longer!
In fact, some customers have told us they've used the same bars for over a year!
Which is a bit crazy.
If you want your bars to defy all odds and last a small eternity, follow these 2 steps.
Step 1: Keep your bars dry between washes.
Our bars are like plants, with the right amount of water they flourish, but with too much they drown.
To prevent them from becoming soggy, you'll want to find somewhere dry to store your bars.
Here's 3 storage options:
1. Find something around your house
Some people store their bars on a flannel. Other people use containers, trays and lids.
The important thing to remember is that whatever you choose, it has to be able to drain.
As in, no slimy swamp water pooling at the bottom.
An easy DIY is to wrap either string or elastic bands around your container of choice.
This will raise your bar above the bottom and keep it nice n' dry.
2. Bamboo trays
If you can't find anything around your house, or if you want a cute home for your bars, you can grab a Bamboo Tray or Snuggle Tray.
3. Soap bags
These are handy because you can hang them up once you're done.
If you don't have one at home, we sell a plant fibre soap bag on our store.
Step 2: Make the most of your lil' bits.
There'll come a time after many many washes, that your bars might start breaking.
You could think that this is your cue to throw them out.
But no! You'll be amazed at how much longer these lil' bits can last.
Simply place your crumbled bar into a soap bag or any mesh bag and they will be good to go.
And that's it.
These two simple tips will make your bars last 90 washes and beyond.
P.S. If they reach past the 18 month mark let us know - this is the current record.
